Leather 101

Leather footwear has always been a favourite among individuals who work in formal settings. The extra comfort, protection and the timeless classy feel it exudes puts a higher price tag to it, which can be a burden to some. Having said that, there’s a million (actually just seven) reasons why we decided to debut our very first collection in full leather:

  1. Durability

It is known that leather footwear lasts longer than footwear made with other materials. Its ability to withstand a greater amount of force and testing environment makes it a pretty good investment for a pair of shoes that can withstand the test of time.

  1. Breathability

Bet most of us didn’t know that leather is actually a breathable fabric. It allows air to pass through much easier, causing your feet to sweat less, which in turn reducing the smell. Great for people with sweaty feet!

  1. Extra Protection

Though it might not be as strong as the steel toe work shoes, footwear made from leather generally has a higher resistance towards falling objects, liquids and stains, giving you that extra protection regular canvas footwear don’t.

  1. Better Fit

Leather is a pretty amazing material. Unlike other conventional materials like plastic and canvas, it shapes and moulds itself according to the wearer’s feet, giving you an optimum level of comfort and personalization.

  1. Easy to Clean

As mentioned, leather possesses a higher tolerance towards stains and residues, making it a lot easier for cleaning and maintenance. When lightly contacted with dirt, it can often be removed with a wipe from a damp to moderately-wet cloth.

  1. Eco-Friendly

Being a natural material, the production of leather footwear will greatly minimizes its damage to the environment. Apart from not releasing any harmful gasses in the process, there are little to no poisonous chemicals added to treating it.

  1. Smells Good

Due to its highly-breathable construct, leather footwear generally smells better. Plus many are fans of its organic and raw smell, we know we are!
